Booking Policy

1 Booking & Assessment

  • Sessions are arranged following a self-referral or assessment, and scheduled weekly at a recurring time.

  • For online sessions, you’ll receive a secure video link via email. A suitable device with video capability (preferably laptop or desktop) is required; phone use is discouraged.

2 Notice & Cancellation

  • You must give at least two working days’ notice prior to the scheduled session to cancel or reschedule. Notice must be sent via email to our office.

  • Late cancellations or missed sessions remain chargeable except in the following cases:

    • The counsellor cancels.

    • The cancellation is due to a bank/public holiday.

    • CORE is closed for seasonal breaks (e.g., in April or December).

    • Exceptional circumstances, at CORE’s discretion.

    • If you’ve been in regular counselling for over 6 months, you may have up to two weeks’ holiday allowance—discuss with your counsellor in advance.

3 Missed or Cancelled Sessions

  • Missed or cancelled sessions are payable unless they fall into one of the above exceptions.

  • If a session is waived after agreement, CORE may issue a credit note or refund, or—with your consent—apply the payment to a future session.
